What are the icons on my toolbar? What is an icon? Basic

The first thing people don't or even seem to get are toolbars. I mean, what are the point of them anyway? A toolbar basically states what its purpose is inside of its name. It is a bar of internet tools! What you see in the picture to the left is a standard toolbar. The first button on the far left is the back button. This button would be obvious to a senior citizen who grew up without computers ever even being invented. If you don't know how to use this big, green button please contact me! The next two are stop and refresh, used when loading. Basically they are used if your page doesn't load correctly. The next button is the home button. It is the page you set or was already set when you first open the internet up. By clicking the home button you can return back to that page. You can set your own home page by going into settings on the file tab if you don't like the one that pops up now. The next button is the personal bar letting you choose what items you would like to add or take away to the toolbar. Again. try to experiment with it. The next button I recommend to just ignore. Yes it is useful for searching the internet but, you are better off getting a separate toolbar for a search engine like google, which I will discuss in a minute. The last button is the favorites button. For those who own a Mac that is the same thing as your bookmarks button. When you click the star a tab on the left should pop up. It lets you view your favorite sites and add ore. With safari, you click bookmarks- and then add bookmark, as well as if you want to view them and use them- click the bookmarks-show all bookmarks. This is an overview of the standard internet explorer bar. If you have safari the buttons are similar. They are just placed in other spots. Check out my intermediate post for toolbars if you think you have figured them out.
